Abstract

Developments in the Middle East and North Africa, known as the Arab Spring or the Islamic Awakening It has had different models In addition to the similarities between the countries involved in the incident Some of their conditions and requirements were different from each other And these differences have affected a part of the way events happen and also the developments of these countries Which may continue in the future The main purpose of the present study Examining the role of political structures on the nature of developments in Libya and Tunisia before the Arab Spring The present article is descriptive and analytical The findings of this study indicate that The relative institutionalization of the rules of the political and traditional game of elite rotation peacefully in Tunisia Conversely, the absence of stable civic and political institutions and the dependence of power on an individual At the top of the political pyramid It is one of the factors that has fueled the different forms of developments resulting from the Arab Spring in these countries.At least in the short and medium term, change in Tunisia was slower than in Libya
