چکیده The present study aims to explain the position of women within the framework of the discourse of political Islam in the Islamic Republic of Iran from the perspective of Islamic awakening. Political Islam, as an ideological system, defines the role and identity of women based on Sharia and Shiite jurisprudence, and in this way, presents a desirable model of a "Muslim woman" in the family, society, and political system. "The importance of this study is that women, as mothers and educators of the revolutionary generation, play a pivotal role in reproducing values and norms. Also, studying their position provides the possibility of analyzing the socio-discursive developments and the future path of women's role in the political structure."" According to the research findings, "The discourse of political Islam, while trying to define the role of women within the framework of chastity and family, has gradually, under the influence of social changes and increased awareness of women, redefined their position in the political, cultural and economic spheres. The widespread participation of women in elections, the expansion of higher education, employment and entrepreneurship are clear signs of this development, which reflects the dynamism of the discourse of political Islam with women's demands and social changes in contemporary Iran."
